BurghBars Spotlight of the Week:

Bitter Delores

"Feisty as a Jack Russell Terrier on Mini Thins" is how one reviewer described this alternative/punk band from Pittsburgh. In 1997, they put out a CD called 200 CHOIR CHILDREN CAN'T BE WRONG to rave reviews, and they've opened for big names such as Social Distortion, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Descendents and Goldfinger. Their hard-driving rock is punctuated by their brash female vocalist.

Meet the band: Buzz is the "dad" of the band; the one who keeps everyone in line and plays guitar. Paul: is a calming influence on the band, and has been known to actually levitate on stage during certain songs and also plays guitar. Kate has the odious job of being a sensitive girl in a band full of...well, guys. She wrote all of the words on Sprout, and most of the words for our kick-ass new stuff. Kate is also a vocalist. Mark was a member of over 5.628 x 1023 bands prior to settling with the Bitters. Tom is the spastic drummer who tries to be less spastic and fails miserably. He also wrote all of this stuff you are reading now. For more information visit The Bitter Delores website
